In this activity, the class will be
divided into pairs. Each pair will be assigned either: Lake Placid,
Lake George, Schoon Lake, Cranberry Lake, Upper and Lower Saranac Lakes,
Raquette Lakes, Hudson, Ausable, Black Rivers, Mt. Marcy, Mt. Haystack,
Mt. Redfield, Ragged Mountain, Mt. Hurricane, and Snowy Mountain.
The job of each group will be to research their assigned feature of the
Adirondaks by using the technology in the classroom. Listed below
are websites in reference to the Adirondaks that the class may use to aid
them in gathering their assigned information. After each pair has
found sufficient information on their assigned feature, they are present
it to their peers. By the end of this activity, the class will have
an understanding of all the features that make up the Adirondaks.
