Abstract: This five year project (1999-2004) has as its primary goal to strengthen and improve the preparation of preservice elementary teachers at SUNY Cortland, particularly in the areas of math, science and computer technology. To do this, this project has three main objectives: 1. To develop strong partnerships with high-needs districts in our area for the purposes of supporting high-quality mathematics, science and computer education. These districts will then be better prepared to host and mentor preservice teachers from SUNY Cortland. Specific Intervention Sites: This project is operating in three specific sites: Cincinnatus Central School District, DeRuyter Central School District, and on-campus at SUNY Cortland.
